Mountain Biking in Brian HeadWhether your outdoor activities are of a more leisurely pace like fishing or golf, or down right extreme like repelling into a slot canyon, or plunging down a mountainside in deep champagne powder-Southern Utah has you covered. And don’t worry if you can’t fit all your adventure desires into one trip. Our playground has been here for millions of years and it will be here for a million more.

Our stunning national parks and monuments take center stage for much of the adventure activities found in southern Utah. Hiking and canyoneering are the most popular. Dixie National Forest covers much of southern Utah in a unique topography that’s excellent for snowmobiling. Brian Head Resort is the heart of the forest with great skiing and snowboarding in the winter and Utah’s premier mountain bike park in the summer. Vast miles of public lands are to the west offering some year round opportunities for ATV riding.

Maybe you want to veer from the mainstream to find peace and solitude or a hidden gem that only the locals know about? Luckily, there’s many secret spots left, just ask one of our local guides and outfitters and they’ll point you the way.

For those that like a more competitive adventure, you’ll find plenty of races and competitions to engage in. Cedar City hosts the Utah Summer Games every June which is the largest amateur sports festival in Utah . Brian Head is often the host for NORBA National Championships, the superbowl of downhill mountain bike racing. There’s always a 5k or 10 K run taking place somewhere in southern Utah and extreme snowmobile races take place every March in Brian Head.
