Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics beginning in the Albertson's Parking Lot (905 S Main, Cedar City) at 10:30am. Please come and join the fun filled day and support a very worthwhile cause.

Shirts and hats are available; shirts: $10 and hats:$12 or both for $20.
This money goes to local athletes so they can participate in the games.

The torch will begin at the Iron/Washington County line at about 8:30am and run up the frontage road through Kanarraville to Albertsons. Our Special Olympic Athletes and other participants will be waiting to carry the torch to the City Park where there will be a BBQ lunch waiting.

Learn the process of pioneer and ancient Pueblo waffle gardening from start to finish. This hands-on activity will provide historical background, instruction, and practical application to help you create a successful vegetable garden. Learn soil preparation, planting techniques, watering methods, garden maintenance, pest control, and weed control. The Memorial Day Recognition and Veteran's Memorial Service will be held in the Cedar City Cemetery at 9am and is conducted by American Legion Post 74 of Cedar City, Utah,

The ceremony will include a Piper drum and bagpipe band, military salute, flag raising and lowering, and a short talk by an honored veteran regarding the origins, purpose and promise of veteran sacrifices in behalf of our community.

All veterans are invited to stand in ranks with Legion and VFW members, full or partial uniform wear is encouraged. Family members of veterans and the general public are encouraged to attend.
